A Rainy Day at the Racetrack

I feel a little silly on days like these. There is no real reason to film. There is no story to tell.

Still I will go and pick up the camera. I've been thinking about "shooting a film" for way too long. And "thinking about shooting a film" is not the same as actually shooting a film.

So I'm filming the rain. It seems so boring at first, but when you really think about it. It's such a wonderful thing to be able to be alive and just experience this moment of being there when it starts to rain.

Walk. I don't know where. But I just want to experience the real world now. I'm done with my screen for today.

It gives me an exciting feeling not to know yet where I'm going to. Is there still a surprise for me waiting where I am going now? A surprise in my own town?

Drive. I don't know where. But I just want to experience a different town now. I'm done with my own town for today.

When I was a kid I was madly in love with cars and roads. I still get the same feeling when I drive myself around. It's an awesome feeling. I can transport my body at a quick speed to a different location. My soul often takes a little bit longer to arrive at the same location.

Walk. I don't know where. But I just want to experience the surprise I was looking for now. I'm done with familiarity.

My soul is arriving now.

The sea has a kind of maternal energy. We once belonged to the sea. Now the sea belongs to us.

I'm glad it stopped raining now. Because rain is often more fun when you're inside than when you're outside.

I think I'm hearing my surprise.

Seeing a race on a real circuit gives me the same exciting feeling I had when I was a kid. It has something to do with speed and videogames I guess.

Today wasn't a normal day like any other day.

Because this day, I've turned into one like no other.

This was a rainy day at the racetrack.
