"NORMAL"

I keep falling into this trap of thinking that I need to take pictures of really cool places or interesting and special objects. After a short period of struggle, I tend to turn to the everyday "normal" and "boring" places, like this underground bicycle parking garage. And then I realize, a normal place like this, one where I've parked my bike probably more than 10.000 times, is worth taking a picture in.

It's meant for all the people that make use of Haarlem's historical train station. It's a massive space underground where you can leave your bike for free. This place seems boring and plain now, but how will I look back at this picture 10 years from now? Maybe I'll be living in another city then, or maybe even in a different country. Then I will be glad that I took this picture. It will remind me of a place I visited so often, and it will be a great memory of that time.

So the ordinary places and ordinary objects are actually super interesting if you look at them from this perspective.

What's your favourite "normal" place you encounter every day?
